Performance tiers
Measured throughput sets a multiplier: S ×1.5 · A ×1.25 · B ×1.0 · C ×0.7.
| Tier | Measured throughput | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| S | ≥ 90 tok/s | ×1.5 |
| A | ≥ 60 tok/s | ×1.25 |
| B | ≥ 30 tok/s | ×1.0 |
| C | < 30 tok/s | ×0.7 |
A node's measured decode speed sets its tier, and the tier multiplies its earned units — faster hardware earns proportionally more for the same work. The wallet's node status view shows each node's tier next to its contribution.
- Tiers are measured, not self-declared — throughput comes from the node's actual serving performance and is re-measured over time.
- A C-tier phone still earns — ×0.7 of its layer share — which is the point: the floor is participation-wide, not datacenter-only.
- Tier multiplies *effective* units, so it composes with layer share and the gateway bonus rather than replacing them.
