Staking
Stake KVR to earn APR interest; 100,000 KVR staked qualifies a wallet to operate hub or gateway nodes.
Staking locks KVR in your own wallet to earn APR interest and to qualify for node rewards. Running a hub or gateway node requires a stake of 100,000 KVR; regular compute nodes join without any stake and earn for the layers they run.
- Staking happens in the wallet's dashboard staking panel: enter an amount, Stake, and the position starts accruing APR plus node-reward eligibility.
- The 100k requirement is a skin-in-the-game filter for the two roles that other people's traffic depends on — entry points and the control plane.
- Staking is non-custodial like everything else: the position lives in your own wallet, and principal, accrued interest and node rewards are all visible in the staking panel.
- Devnet KVR for staking comes via distribution or swap (SOL/ETH ↔ KVR swap: coming soon); devnet SOL for fees comes from the public faucet.
